AdviceGuy Commerce Privacy

Effective October 4, 2026 · This notice covers AdviceGuy purchases and service intake. It supplements, and does not replace, the existing Probe/Meta Privacy & Data Deletion policy.

What is collected

When you email an intake or contact Bill, AdviceGuy receives the name, contact details, order reference, selected service, problem description, links, desired outcome and supporting information you choose to send. Payment-provider records may include transaction status, amount, purchase email and order identifiers. GoDaddy processes checkout and payment details under its own privacy notice; this website’s intake does not collect card numbers.

How the intake works

The intake form prepares text in your browser. It does not submit to a website server, upload files, or automatically send an email. You send the prepared text through your email service to bill@adviceguy.net. Downloading a copy saves a text file on your device. The page does not intentionally retain your entered text after you leave or reload; your browser may provide its own form-restoration features.

Use and sharing

Bill uses your information to verify purchases, understand and deliver the review, communicate about it, resolve issues and keep business records. Hosting, email and payment providers process information needed to supply those services. Website hosting may log technical information such as IP addresses, request paths and access times for operation and security. The new commerce pages add no advertising trackers or marketing mailing-list signup.

AdviceGuy does not sell your intake or use it as public promotional content without your permission. Do not include confidential material that is unnecessary for the review. Any future automated Probe intake or external AI processing of customer materials will require a separate implementation and an updated notice before use; this launch does not automatically send form contents to those systems.

Retention and your choices

Correspondence and review records are retained as needed to fulfill the service and handle follow-up or disputes. Transaction records may be kept for accounting and legal obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing bill@adviceguy.net. Bill may need to verify the request and retain records required by law or an unresolved dispute; he will explain any such limitation.

Share less, not more

Do not send passwords, API keys, session tokens, banking details, sensitive personal information or unredacted customer records. Share only material you have permission to disclose. Redact screenshots and use restricted sharing links where appropriate. Email and online services cannot guarantee absolute security.
